Quite possibly yes. We welcome a maximum of 6 participants per class. By keeping the group small we ensure that everyone gets to have their own workstation and our full attention. In light of Covid-19 regulations it is important to know we keep a social distance of 1 meter.
Yes we do. A private class is perfect if you want to learn something very specific which does not fit in our regular shared class. Or perhaps you want to come with your partner, colleagues, family or a group of friends and be sure we are exclusively focussed on your party. We are happy to design a custom made cooking event for you. Contact us for more information: booking@bolognapastalab.com
The price includes your own individual workstation, a Pasta Lab apron which you get to take home, recipes of the dishes you cook, dinner with wine and water.
In three hours you will learn how to make two iconic fresh pasta dishes from scratch and completely by hand. We do not use pasta machines! From mixing the ingredients and kneading the dough to rolling it into a sheet of pasta with a traditional rolling pin. We teach you how to cut the sheet into tagliatelle and how to close it in order to make tortelloni, using the filling that you make. When the pasta is ready, you will learn how to cook it perfectly al dente, prepare the condiments and how to present the pasta in a beautifully way. With our guidance, you will be responsible for the entire process from flour and eggs to a delicious and beautifully plated dish of pasta.
Hands-on! We believe the best way to learn is to do.
Yes, we can customize your class. Please email us your request: booking@bolognapastalab.com
It would be cruel to cook all that delicious food and then send you on your way without tasting it. At the end of the class we sit down together and enjoy the dishes you have made with a nice glass of wine.
Absolutely! Joining our cooking class is a great way to meet people from all over the world. Should you be the only person to book a class that day, maybe even better! You will get our undivided attention and we will make you feel right at home.
Yes. A customized class would be perfect for you. Please get in touch with us so we can discuss the details of your cooking class: booking@bolognapastalab.com
If you have any special dietary needs or food allergies, please inform us beforehand so we can plan the menu for your class accordingly.
It depends. The cooking class takes place in a professional pasta workshop, which means there is flour everywhere. We cannot guarantee there is no allergens cross contamination with our gluten-free items. In case you suffer from coeliac disease, we are not the right choice for you.
Yes, providing we customize the class to the specific age of your children. Please note that our workstations are higher than the average table height and that we do not have any chairs. To understand if we can accommodate your family, please write us an email: booking@bolognapastalab.com
Sadly the combination of steps, limited space and elevated workstations makes us unable to welcome those with reduced mobility.
We can accommodate your group of maximum 10 participants providing we organize the class in a different way. Instead of everybody making the same thing from an individual workstation, the group will be divided in teams who are each responsible for a part of the menu. This class is perfect if you are looking for a family or team-building event. Please contact us if you would like to know more about our group classes: booking@bolognapastalab.com
No problem at all! We speak English with a very charming accent.
You do not need to have any previous cooking experience to join our class. We are very flexible and able to teach in a manner that suits all skill levels, from absolute beginners to advanced cooks. We will teach you everything you need to know to approach all areas of cookery with confidence.
Even advanced cooks and professional chefs will get great value out of our cooking classes. Because we do not have to begin at the basics, we can immediately go in-depth and beyond the ‘home-style’ way of cooking. Our credentials, professional kitchen and pasta-producing workshop guarantee you will acquire new skills and lots of inspiration.
All classes require advance registration and payment via our website. This will provide us with the information we need to properly prepare for your class.
We accept online credit card payments. In case you do not have a credit card, we invite you to make a bank transfer. Please contact us for additional details: booking@bolognapastalab.com.
If payment is successful, you should immediately receive your booking confirmation by email. Please contact us in case you do not receive a confirmation so we can find out what happened and solve the problem.
